Initial Year Goals - On the Ground in Brazil
Embrace Brazil is a ministry of First Baptist Church in Melissa, Tx.
We partnered with Pituba Baptist Church in Salvador, Brazil in August 2012.

Embrace - Proclaim - Empower
I. Embrace Teens and Their Families Where They Are:
a. Provide nourishment to kids and teens of the community by offering food once a day 4 times a week.
b. Organize soccer and volleyball teams and tournaments for teens to participate in 4 times a week.
i. Simply be administrator on site. Play soccer and volleyball with teens. Use time to teach the game and
personal values.
ii. Connect with members of Pituba that have knowledge in sport to involve them.
c. Plant garden and building hen houses. Work alongside and teach students.
i. Work alongside and teach students.
ii. Establish a replenishing food source for the community.
iii. Connect with members of Pituba that have knowledge in gardening to involve them.
II. Proclaim Jesus Christ as Savior and Make Disciples
a. Give Bible to all participating students.
b. Partner each participating student with a prayer warrior (in Brazil and United States).
c. Connect believers with teens and adults in Lamarão through Deliverance program. Believers can "adopt" a resident of Lamarão by committing to pray for them daily and contacting them through email twice a month.
i. (All communication will be filtered and shared through Embrace Brazil. Residents will
be encouraged to communicate with their sponsor as well.)
d. Increase number of participating students from current participation.
e. Students begin to view their value and identity in Christ-changing their habits as they surrender to Jesus.
f. Have students’ changed lives bring their families to church.
g. Establish relationships during recreation, job training, girls’ club, Bible study time together.
III. Send Them Out With Job Training Skills:
a. Teach students how to envision, plan, and construct during job skill training classes.
b. Build hen houses for hens and their eggs.
c. Instruct teens through woodworking classes to build a playground for day care center.
